BESIX Group’s Activity and ESG Report 2025 is a corporate annual report that combines business performance with sustainability and governance reporting for the period from 1 January to 31 December 2025. The document presents BESIX as a Belgian-based international construction, real estate development and concessions group, and frames 2025 as a year of disciplined growth, tighter risk management and further preparation for future CSRD-aligned reporting.

The report highlights a strong rise in revenue to EUR 4.16 billion, up 20.6% year on year, while adjusted EBITDA fell to EUR 141 million and net income increased to EUR 45 million. BESIX also reports a significantly stronger cash position and an order book of EUR 6.7 billion at year-end. Management attributes these results to selective project bidding, stricter risk control and a sustained focus on cash generation rather than growth at any cost.

Beyond the financial figures, the report details BESIX’s global footprint, business model and strategic priorities across four main activities: BESIX Construction, BESIX Affiliates, BESIX RED and BESIX Invest. It describes the Group’s expertise in buildings, infrastructure, marine works, foundations, utilities, environmental projects and concessions, supported by in-house engineering and an integrated value-chain approach.

The ESG section is central to the document. BESIX states that sustainability is embedded in how it operates, not treated as a parallel agenda. A refreshed double materiality assessment identifies six key priorities: climate change mitigation, energy, resource use and circular economy, own workforce, workers in the value chain, and business conduct. The Group links these priorities to its broader strategic goals, UN Global Compact commitments and selected Sustainable Development Goals.

The report also presents concrete ESG progress in 2025, including maintaining the highest CO2 Performance Ladder certification level for 11 entities in the Benelux and France, achieving its Scope 1 and 2 emissions-intensity reduction target ahead of schedule, advancing supplier due diligence, and strengthening internal governance and ESG data systems. At the same time, BESIX acknowledges major safety challenges, notably the loss of three lives during the year, and says it reinforced prevention, leadership accountability and subcontractor engagement.

Throughout, the document combines narrative, financial data, strategic context and project examples to show how BESIX aims to create long-term value through resilient operations, sustainable construction practices and responsible governance. It is ultimately both a performance review and a positioning document for the Group’s transition toward fuller ESG and regulatory integration in the coming years.
